LD foam pistons are used for cleaning impurities in the gas pipeline and for drying. Pipelines are susceptible to contamination that occurs with intensity of use.
They are fitted in pipelines with narrowings up to 50%.
Foam pistons are highly absorbent, flexible, light and easy to handle.
They are recommended for use in low-pressure polyethylene installations. LD foam pistons are made of highly flexible open-cell polyurethane foam. The density of these pistons is in the range of 25-40 kg / m3. In the basic version, the LD type pistons are capable of negotiating bends with a bending radius of 1.5 DN.
